Discover Something New
Our Book Fair offers a magical mix of books, posters, and fun novelty items for students to purchase. Parents can set up a Scholastic eWallet for their student to use during school hours. Families can also shop together after school or during Family Shopping Night.
Every purchase helps our school earn Scholastic Dollars. Rancho Cañada uses these funds to purchase books for classrooms and the school library, including books used to restock our Book Vending Machine.

You’ve Been Caught Reading Student Raffle!
We’re building excitement for our upcoming Book Fair with our “You’ve Been Caught Reading” Raffle! Students can earn raffle tickets whenever they’re spotted making great reading choices, whether during quiet reading, at recess, or choosing a book over a device. Each Friday from October 23 through November 13, we’ll draw lucky winners during Friday Flag, with five students winning a certificate for one free book of their choice at the Book Fair! Our final drawing on November 13 will include two winners. Let’s celebrate our readers and keep the excitement growing as we count down to the Book Fair!
Prepare For the Fair
Each class will visit the Book Fair twice during school hours:
Preview days: Students will explore the Fair and create a wish list.
Shopping days: Students will return to purchase books using cash or a Scholastic eWallet.
Book Fair Open Shopping Hours
Families can shop after school Monday through Wednesday and during Family Shopping Night on Thursday.
- Monday, Nov. 16: 2:30–4:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, Nov. 17: 2:30–4:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, Nov. 18: 1:05–3:05 p.m.
- Thursday, Nov. 19: 5:30–7:30 p.m. — Family Shopping Night
Set Up an eWallet
Scholastic eWallet is a safe, convenient alternative to sending cash to school. Families can create a free eWallet beginning three weeks before the fair.
Add funds with a credit card, use an available Scholastic eGift balance, or invite friends and family to contribute. Funds are available immediately, and more can be added at any time.
Share the Fair
Every student should have the opportunity to experience the excitement of choosing a new book. Share the Fair is Scholastic’s giving program, which helps provide books to students who may need assistance making a purchase.
Families and community members can contribute through our school’s Book Fair homepage, while setting up an eWallet, or while shopping at the Fair. Contributions are used to help more Rancho Cañada students bring home books of their own.

Visit our Scholastic Book Fair homepage to preview the books and fun finds coming to the fair. Families can browse the selection ahead of time, create a wish list, and get excited to shop.
Can’t make it to the Book Fair in person? You can still shop online and have your books delivered directly to your home. Book-only orders of $35 or more ship free, and 25% of each online purchase benefits our school.
Book Vending Machine
Our Book Vending Machine dispenses books instead of snacks or drinks. Students can earn tokens through positive behavior and achievements, then use their tokens to select a book.
The machine makes books an exciting and tangible reward while encouraging reading throughout our school community. Proceeds from the Book Fair help keep it stocked with new titles.
