Volunteer Interest 

Volunteering with the PTA is one of the best ways that parents can support the students and staff at our school. Please review the brief descriptions of each volunteer area and indicate your preliminary interests. Your contact information will then be forwarded to the PTA board member or committee chair that is organizing that activity and they will be in touch with you closer to the event date.

REQUIRED: Please print and complete the SVUSD Volunteer Forms and return to the school office.

Child Supervision during PTA Meetings

We are looking for Junior High and High School volunteers to lead an organized game (all supplies provided by PTA) for the kids during our PTA Meetings. We are also in need of two non related adults to be in the room to sit and observe while the youth volunteers lead the activity. This is an hour commitment and is a great way to fulfill community service hours!

Open Board Positions

These positions usually involve a 1 year commitment throughout the school year.

Auditor
Reviews the books and financial records of a PTA to determine their accuracy 2x year. Presents written reports on financial reviews to the board for review and the association for adoption. Uploads copies of adopted financial reviews to Council

Red Ribbon Week, October 26-30

Volunteer Opportunities
Classroom Parents
Work alongside your student's teacher to plan the yearly fun! Plan 2 classroom parties: Winter and End - of - Year. Communicate with classroom families about classroom/Teacher activities such as Teacher's Birthday, Calssroom Parties and Teacher Appreciation Dates/Favorite Things. There is no expectation of making a gift or collecting money from classroom families.

Every Spring the blacktop comes alive with carnival games, food trucks, inflatables and fun! There are a lot of opportunities to help make this night of fun a success! 

Planning Committee
We need committees and chairs for this event. It's our biggest one of the year and loads of fun. Both Planning and Silent Auction Committees need to be filled. The Silent Auction Committee gathers donations from local companies, Create themed baskets for auction. Vendor Coordinators set up all our activity and food vendors for the evening. Volunteers Coordinators manage both Student and Adult Volunteers through out the event. Pre-Registration Coordinator sorts and labels presale tickets and wristbands.
